Ryuhei Oishi graduated from University College London (UCL) in 2018 with a BSc in Architectural and Interdisciplinary Studies. Living in a residential area in Japan, he spent a considerable amount of his childhood in what he calls 'natural' patches (e.g. bushes behind car-parks) interacting with various animals and plants. These experiences shaped his interest in making and being, and whilst at UCL he expanded his horizons from architecture and philosophy to anthropology, especially with the idea of dwelling. Ryuhei’s current work is propelled by an idea, 'for children and children in a mind of adults', which seeks an alternative richness to economic capital.
