Born in New Zealand, photographer Jessica MacCormick has lived in Cyprus, Cambodia, LA, and London. She holds an MA in social anthropology from Auckland University. Her clients include the Financial Times and Le Monde and she was a winner of the British Journal of Photography’s Portrait of Britain competition in 2017. The cinematic, documentary quality of her photography lends itself to her explorations of character, environment and the nuanced life of everyday things. She has a special interest in the relationship between plants and people and is currently documenting the gardens of her neighbours in Hackney, London.
