Jason Hirsch

Jason Hirsch holds a Master’s degree in medical anthropology from McGill University, where he studied with Allan Young and Eduardo Kohn. He writes about Western herbalism, biomedicine, and public health, and how their diverging perspectives on the body orient people politically in divergent ways. He is commencing a Ph.D. this autumn at the University of Toronto, set to focus on climate change and the radical imagination. Jason has had a long love affair with plants and appreciates the many ways in which they are coming to enter writing.
