Derek Haynes
Born in New Bern, Derek Areson Haynes had a passion for plants in his youth that blossomed into a drive to show the world the magic of plants. Graduating from NC State with a Bachelor’s of Plant Biology, Haynes has lent his skills and knowledge to various businesses and nonprofits. As The Crazy Botanist, Haynes hopes to use his charisma and knowledge to broaden the botanical knowledge of the world.
